We welcome a long-awaited return with a new partner-in-crime at the helm. Thomas Harrington Rawle as the new visual director for bbbbbb recors.

Care More creator Thomas Harrington-Rawle’s introduction to the bbbbbb universe is one that goes hand-in-hand with the never-ending portfolio of projects together with Bjarki, pushing the creative conceptual live AV show ‘Look At Yourself’ featuring from Nxt Museum in Amsterdam to Houghton Festival.

“Thomas and I have been friends since the pandemic. I reached out after watching his ‘Care More’ episode on Nowness and was amazed by the emotional rollercoaster he could create. Balancing humour and seriousness can be challenging, but he does it exceptionally well. We have become very good friends since then. I moved to London, we had some fun and worked on various ideas together, including making a film about an affirmation chamber that we made for FACT Magazine, in an effort to immerse me in his creative universe.

As our ideas continue to expand, we feel ready to showcase some of these projects. Thomas, already serving as my visual creator, is now the visual art director for the new chapter of bbbbbb records. Our focus is launching this new chapter with bbb and our AV show, and our ultimate goal is to curate events that offer more than just a music experience. We find it intriguing to connect with our audience on a deeper level that hasn’t been explored before.

‘Rave Daddy’ was created as part of the Look At Yourself world. However, its inspiration stems from an Icelandic tradition where fathers engage in a dance endurance contest to showcase their dancing stamina. In 2010, my father participated and emerged as the winner among 150 dads, securing 1st place. Currently, we are thrilled to be planning Thomas' dad's participation in the upcoming contest in September. Furthermore, we are bringing this one-of-a-kind contest to Berlin on July 23rd as part of our Rave Daddy release party, and for the celebration of ‘Rave Daddy’, we have decided for the first time in history to have DJs go b2b with their dads”. - Bjarki.

Another production exploring the narrowing lines between perception and reality, ‘Rave Daddy’ is a warping, trippy and twisted cut sprinkled with playfulness and humour as Bjarki once again showcases his studio prowess.

“Bjarki sent me the track a while ago with this protagonist the ‘rave daddy’, so it seemed only fitting that we create the ultimate daddy. He can rave like no other, has 0% body fat, not a hair in sight, and is very smooth, aerodynamic and fit for all occasions” adds Harrington-Rawle. “We're are also bringing him to life in the real world, so brace yourselves”.


Bjarki ‘Rave Daddy’ drops via bbbbbb recors on 21st July 2023, with remixes to follow in early August.
